First Snow on the Ground!!
Annupuri Village woke up this morning to the season’s first snowfall to village level overnight in Niseko. The top runs of the mountains are blanketed in white, giving us a nice surprise after the first snowfall on Mt. Yotei on September 24th followed by a quite warm October. This is earlier than last year’s snow fall to this level on November 4th. Early solid snowfalls are expected with a lot of moisture in the weather system for the next few weeks.

For our guests seeking the ultimate powder experience; Annupuri Village will be teaming up with the Powder Company, a back country guide service run by legendary pro snowboarder Tomoki Takaku.  Takaku has made a name for himself in numerous first descents in Alaska and is currently sponsored by Nike, Shimano and the Niseko based Gentemstick.  We are looking forward to Powder Company guiding Annupuri Village guests safely through Niseko’s untouched backcountry.

Family guests this winter will have exclusive use of The Shack; a private hut tucked between the Annupuri and Moiwa Ski runs.  Snowshoe, throw snowballs or just relax by the fire whilst our chef prepares a barbecue for the whole family.
